    Czech Masopust Carnival

In the Czech Republic, Masopust or Fašank is a festive period after Christmas holidays that lasts until the beginning of Lent, thirty days before Easter. Masopust is associated with folk dances, pig butchering, but also with weddings! This time full of fun includes various ritual acts, a mask procession or stage performances. During Masopust, don't forget to try fluffy koblihy or anything from pork – delicious pork roast, jitrnice or headcheese.
