Hody & Posvícení
Fall in the Czech lands used to be a time full of entertainment, folk dancing, and delicious food. The harvest was over, and after the hard work in the fields, the people indulged in a lot of tasty dishes as a reward. This period is called Hody or Posvícení and usually ends forty days before Christmas. Hody feast is associated with many traditional foods such as Roast Duck with Red Cabbage or Kolache.
