Ingredients

  • 1 butterhead lettuce
  • ¾ cup buttermilk (in Czech Kefír or Podmáslí)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ Tablespoon vinegar 5% acidity (or freshly pressed lemon juice)

Instructions

  • Trim 1 butterhead lettuce into individual leaves, discarding any wilted or rotten ones. Wash each leaf thoroughly under running water and then leave them to drain.
  • In a bowl, mix ¾ cup buttermilk, ¼ teaspoon salt, and ½ Tablespoon vinegar, then whisk briefly.
  • Tear the lettuce leaves into bite-sized pieces and place them in a bowl. Pour the kefir dressing over the lettuce.
